From picture framer to artist Robin Oakley started his career in 2017. He had dabbled in art from an early age, even spending some time at art college. Other interests then took over. He became a professional musician for a few years.
The next period of his life involved selling for Reeves art materials and Letraset helping to create promotions for Nabisco and Kelloggs.
He then ran a successful gallery and framing business with his wife Dee.
His own art abilities showed in 2017 when he found some pastels and tried them the for the first time.
Being now retired he found he had the time and ability to create art that people liked.
Animals have always played a large part in his life and they now feature prominently in his art.
He has a dedicated following for his work and an increasing demand for his animal and portrait art.
